Bill was born on April 24, 1967 in Tucson, Arizona. His father, Chuck Beverly, was flying F-4 Phantoms in Vietnam. His mother, Donna, raised 3 children. Brent, the oldest sibling, Diane, and Bill, the youngest. Bill’s family then moved to the Philippines and were stationed at Clark Air Force Base. After a year or so, Bill’s father was assigned as an instructor at Red Flag (the Air Force version of Top Gun) at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada.

Eventually, Bill’s Dad retired from the Air Force and the family wound up in San Clemente, California. Bill attended Concordia Elementary school, Shorecliffs Junior High, and high school at San Clemente High, where he wrestled, played baseball and football on the varsity teams. Bill then attended USC on a U.S. Army ROTC scholarship and graduated from USC with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 1989. After graduating, Bill was stationed at Fort Huachuca Arizona at the US Army’s Military Intelligence School. Bill’s favorite assignment was working bikes on the peninsula with Officers Mike Pule and Pat Olson. What a great group of guys and great times. Bill remains very good friends with Retired NBPD Sergeant Mark Everton and Retired Officers Vlad Anderson and Glenn Garrity. Bill retired from NBPD on May 6, 2017 and still resides in San Juan Capistrano with his gorgeous wife of 20 years, Lynne. Bill spends his time with his Jeep Club, camping, fishing, as well as motorcycle riding on his dirt bike and BMW GS Adventure motorcycle. Bill and Lynne are currently looking at houses in Arizona and Montana and plan to move in the near future. Bill’s Dad, Chuck, now 85, still lives in San Clemente and spends a lot of time with Bill.
